➡️ Do I have to sign up ahead of time?
We prefer that you do! While we welcome walk-ups, registering ahead of the event helps us with food, venue, and swag counts.
➡️ Who is considered a young alum?
The alumni association invites Calvin grads from the last 15 years to our young alumni network events (approx. 2011 to 2025 graduates). If you're young at heart and outside of that range, we'd still love to have you! Additionally, feel free to bring a non-alum spouse, roommate, or friend along with you. We want you to be comfortable!

Popnotch is owned by 2017 Calvin University grads Patrick and Paige (Van Drunen) Avila. Located in the heart of Grand Rapids, Michigan, on the ever-popular Wealthy Street, Popnotch Goods is bringing something entirely new to the neighborhood: gourmet popcorn with roots that run deep. Their fun, open-floor concept invites you to witness the magic of turning a humble kernel into a crave-worthy treat. Alongside their signature popcorn, they serve scooped ice cream and other top-notch snacks.
